FLEET AWARDS GALA 2012

More than 100 cars in test drives, almost 1,000 visitors, numerous expositions and fleet exhibitors, a section of the Barbórka rally in the hands of fleet managers, selection of the best fleet cars of the year and fleet products and services of the year, premieres and demonstrations. This is just an outline of what was happening at the unprecedented fleet festival - FLEET DERBY. The entire event took place on 18-19 April this year at the Służewiec Race Track - located on a 138-hectare green enclave in the heart of Warsaw, a place imbued with the spirit of rivalry and great emotions. Fleet Derby is a combination of a car test, a plebiscite on fleet products and services, as well as a trade fair with exhibitors' stands, shows, car premieres and fleet novelties. The event is organised by the publisher of the FLEET magazine - the Fleet Meetings company.

FLEET DERBY - FLEET CAR TEST (18.04.2012)

On 18 April, at the Służewiec Racecourse, the Fleet Derby car test took place, to which over 100 fleet cars were entered by car companies. All cars were assigned to 16 car categories approved by the test partner, the Polish Automotive Industry Association. The car tests took place on a route specially prepared by Mariusz Stuszewski, Vice-President of the Polish Automobile Association, at the Służewiec Racecourse, on which meaningful tests for passenger cars were set up, allowing as many car parameters as possible to be checked in safe conditions. There were tests of braking, acceleration, manoeuvrability, dynamics and many others. The premium segment cars were given three routes through the city. Commercial vehicles were given separate routes to test mainly agility and braking. All cars were tested by a 60-strong expert jury, comprising members of the Polish Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association, the institution with the greatest purchasing potential when it comes to fleet cars, selected fleet managers, as well as independent specialists, experts and motoring journalists. All winners of the car test in the individual categories were presented with Fleet Derby statuettes at an awards gala on 19 April at the InterContinental Hotel. The list of winners is below.

FLEET DERBY - OPEN DAY FOR FLEET BUSINESS (19.04.2012)

On 19 April, the vast area of the Służewiec Racecourse hosted an open day for the entire fleet business , during which it was possible to visit the exhibition stands of all the Fleet Derby partners, vote for the best fleet product and service and the Automotive Fleet Brand, as well as take part in car tests, shows and numerous competitions with attractive prizes . Most of the cars taking part in the test, as well as new models, were demonstrated in the main car park and in front of the Court of Honour. Visitors were able to test the cars, both fleet and non-fleet, on a professional track planned with the assistance of PSM instructors. Major Arkadiusz Kups' demonstrations on personal safety also took place there. In front of the grandstand , visitors could admire: a unique PZU bus, an Inter Cars training truck, a Road Transport Inspection car, a display of Polish Motor Association training cars, a premiere Peugeot 208 display, a BP car specially imported for the Fleet Derby - an AUDI A8 with two independent fuel systems. There, a series of demonstrations on medical rescue had Dr Adam M. Pietrzak, and a real wreck was used for this. This was not the end of the attractions. For the first time in Poland, there was also a demonstration in a rooftop simulatorstarring two-year-old Szymon. Because of the venue and its history - judge Jarosław Koch talked about racehorses. The main exhibition part took place inside the Tribune - exhibitors' stands, attractive competitions, beautiful hostesses and happy visitors. The only problem they had was the choice: to talk, to watch, to take part in the competitions, in the shows or maybe to have a test drive. A difficult choice. In the evening, however, a gala was held at the InterContinental Hotel in Warsaw, where awards were presented in the car test and in the plebiscite for the most popular fleet products and services.
